Why Call Forwarding?

Call forwarding lets you keep your existing business number and still have your AI answer every call. When your line rings and you're unavailable, your carrier automatically sends it to your CallLegend number. Your customer hears your AI in under 2 rings. They never know the difference — except that someone always picks up.

You can also skip forwarding entirely and just give out your CallLegend number directly. Either way works. Most contractors do both.

Step 1: Find Your CallLegend Number

Your dedicated CallLegend number was emailed to you after purchase. Check your inbox for the welcome email. Can't find it? Log into your dashboard or email support@calllegend.com.

Step 2: Set Up Forwarding on Your Carrier

Dial the code for your carrier from your business phone. Replace the placeholder with your actual CallLegend number, no spaces or dashes.

📡AT&T

Forward all calls to your CallLegend number:

*21*[CallLegend number]#

Then press Call/Send. Wait for confirmation tone.

To disable: dial ##21# then Call.

🔴Verizon

Forward to CallLegend when you don't answer:

*71[CallLegend number]

Then press Call/Send. Wait for confirmation beep.

To disable: dial *73 then Call.

📶T-Mobile

Set conditional call forwarding:

*21*[CallLegend number]#

Press # then Call. Wait for confirmation.

To disable: dial ##21# then Call.

⚙️Other Carriers

Use your phone's built-in settings:

iPhone: Settings → Phone → Call Forwarding → On → enter your CallLegend number

Android: Phone app → Settings → Calls → Call Forwarding → Always Forward

Or call your carrier's support line and ask them to set conditional forwarding.

Step 3: Test It

Grab a second phone — a family member's cell, anything other than your business phone. Call your business number. You should hear your AI greet you by your business name within 2 rings.

If it doesn't pick up within 5 seconds, check that you dialed the forwarding code correctly and that your agent is enabled in the dashboard.

How to Turn Forwarding Off

  • AT&T: Dial ##21# then Call
  • Verizon: Dial *73 then Call
  • T-Mobile: Dial ##21# then Call
  • iPhone: Settings → Phone → Call Forwarding → Off
  • Android: Phone app → Settings → Calls → Call Forwarding → Disable

Alternative: Skip Forwarding Entirely

You don't have to forward your main line. Many contractors give their CallLegend number directly to new customers. Existing customers still reach you on your old number. New leads always get answered by your AI. It's a clean split.

Put your CallLegend number on your Google Business Profile, website, and ads. Your main number stays personal. New jobs always get answered.
